It was drizzling out but warm enough, and the stands were pretty full for this important game: Longmeadow was looking to secure a place in the playoffs with a win here.
Minnechaug, the underdogs, proved to be tougher than expected and kept the score within a couple touchdowns; close enough to keep Longmeadow fighting until the end.
But despite the great effort from the Falcons...
...the Lancers finally scored one more in the fourth, closing the lid on Minnechaug's chances and rolling out another win.
Next up, Longmeadow will be taking on East Longmeadow's mighty Spartans, on Thanksgiving morn...
