A beautiful day Tuesday. In the sixties, and a 'sheen of green' is on the grass, as Kelly would put it. I was in Springfield to work at an old building, near the courthouse. Across the street, some of the downtown towers agreed to line up for a group photo:
To the left below is the old and new court houses. The old one has been turned into juvenile court, or 'Juvie' as those too familiar call it...
To the right, is the office block which houses the law offices of Attorney Saia. He's apparently very deft at his work. It seems he always has a banner above the building, stating a big verdict they have won. The current banner states a 6.1 million dollar judgement. Someone is happy.
The office building is part of an entire block that is for sale, which includes the stately Court Square building on the other side. The photo below is of the back of that building, where there used to be an extension, that housed a famous theater. The blog Exploring Western Mass recently put up a good post on that classic old structure.
Wednesday's supposed to be even better, and should help increase the 'sheen'...

That's so funny about the lawyer who puts his verdict on a banner! First time I ever heard of that.
