Gullp
I tossed half of a Funyon out the window while eating lunch in a parking lot the other day, and sure enough, from several hundred yards all the way across the lot several gulls came sweeping over to snatch it up. I was surprised that they could even see the small yellow crumb being tossed from that distance. But they can, and they were watching. That's what they do.
Then the crumbly remains of a whole bag of chips were carelessly tossed out of another passing car, igniting a frenzy...and for me a quick insight into the ruthless lives of parking lot seagulls....
The normally carefree animals are stirred into a calamitous battle for scraps, snatching from each other's mouths and displaying their normally angelic looking wings in threatening manners...
Suddenly the carefree gulls appear to become creatures best not messed with...
Harbingers of beach-side comforts from our perspective, but from theirs it's a daily dog eat dog, or Gull eat Funyon, life...

Thats what they do indeed and they will never stop until all your funions are gone
They are wonderful photos, Tony. What is a funyan again -- a yodel with peanut butter filling? No, that is a funny bone. Funyuns are a chip, right?
This makes me think of the gulls in "Finding Nemo," who all say "Mine!" when they see food. ;)
Aah, you got the reference Tom...
Mary they're an onion flavored and onion-ring shaped salty snack food; and if you have an addictive personality I suggest staying away from them...
True, Elizabeth, they definitely captured the gull mentality with that characterization..!
Reminded me of that Hitchcock movie...
