Looking Brighter

The grey pall that's been hanging over us slowly gave way throughout the day today...

It looks like we have a good weekend coming...

The new $67 million Federal courthouse on State Street in Springfield is coming along.

Kind of nice...'Federal' looking.

Also in the works is a $13.9 million State St. renovation project, recently gone out to bid.

Meanwhile Main St. downtown renovation continues...

Here's a good link for more info on several Springfield renovation projects:

We're off to meet my cousin and his wife at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut to see the band "Violent Femmes". Flaming homosexuals, excellent musicians. (Disclaimer) I'm not gay, but I know a great band when I hear one.
Here's their bio:

Violent Femmes, the band often referred to as the“grandfathers of Folk-Punk”, formed in Milwaukee in 1980. Fate took its course when the Pretenders saw thehard-rockin’ trio playing on the streets and asked them toopen for their show that night. The Femmes eventually signed with Slash records and released their self-titled debut album in 1983. Ten years later the album went platinum. The group is best known for their hit singles “American Music,”“Blister in the Sun” and “Kiss Off."
