Eastern Winds

Far off in China, the past few days, the government has once again clamped down hard on Tibetan protesters. The Tibetans have launched their biggest protests in 20 years, and so far have suffered at least 100 deaths. A new (and disturbing, for the Chinese govt.) development in these protests is the fact that they are spreading to rural villages, as well as the urban centers.

These things just don't happen in January. Well, actually, the Pedal-People do...

We must have almost crossed paths again! I interviewed some of the Tibetans around 1 p.m., but I don't think I saw you.

Huh! I was parked across the street from that larger group, and left there at exactly 1:00pm...
