Think Sun

Ugh.

Cold, heavy rain. Allllll day.

But life, and work, must go on.

I actually like the rain, usually. I like it when it pours all day long. Time seems to slow a little bit. There's something relaxing about it. It's a good day to just sit around and do nothing. Maybe read. Maybe just nap. (If possible). I wish I could have indulged myself today.

I'm going on vacation Monday, so It's been a pretty busy past couple of days, trying to get my ducks in a row, and tackling some unforseen problems that can't wait until I get back.
Thinking about it kept me warm as I struggled in shin deep water with a pike and metal rake, trying to unclog a sewer drain that was flooding the lot in front of my house. After much sloshing around, jabbing and scraping, swearing and shivering, I cleared the ice and piled up detriment that had been blocking the grate. I watched the cold dirty water drain away, taking my cold thoughts with it. Just a couple more days...it'll all be over soon...

Luckily we have a couple nice (in the 40's) days coming up this weekend. Maybe I can extend my vacation with some Pioneer Valley outdoorsiness before I go Margaritaville...

Tony -- Have you told us where you are going in Margaritaville? It's one of Brian's and my favorite states (of mind).

We're doing a little island hop cruise around the Caribbean; Nassau, Coco Kay, Key West...full day in each spot...

Nice!!! We had a great time in Key West this summer. They were having their annual Ernest Hemingway look-alike contest at the time. Looking forward to your Margaritaville dispatches!
